I'd rather do handyman-type work. Or just about anything in a state or national park. I'd probably be better at it, too (in that I'd give a half a fuck). But a middling software developer building things 80% of which never ma

I bounced off it two or three years ago after trying to get it running a basic GUI desktop environment by following a guide (IIRC an official one of some sort? It seemed legit, certainly) and after an hour or so of installing and faffing ab

This is definitely a thing. Lots of tech choices are made for that reason, not just front end frameworks, as I'm sure you know. But there's no incentive to put one's foot down and declare that the emperor, indeed, has no clot

Beware: AFAIK many of the most commonly-available English translations are not very good. It's a pretty common problem with 19th-century foreign language literature generally, in fact. The public domain's full of translations that

Thanks for your work on it. Seriously. I've enjoyed my time with Redux, more or less, and was in no way trying to shit on it with my comments—I hope it didn't come across that way.

Yeah, I know the history of the terms, I just find them so entirely unhelpful for (harmful to, in fact) understanding Redux, no matter what reason they're there, that providing a translation is pretty much the first thing I do when int

1) Redux is pretty simple, but some of the terminology is obtuse for no good reason and makes it harder to get a grip on than it should be. "Action" = event, "Action Creator" = any function that emits an event, it's
