Yes, WordPress requires a database; but when has this been an issue for business people, real bloggers, etc. to find a decent host with database support? Sure, Jekyll sounds like a more efficient solution, but most people don't have a "pain

Why not build something more useful than a blog then? Reinventing the wheel seems like a poor use of time.

Yeah, I think you're missing the point of running a blog. A blog is about producing and publishing content. It's not thinking about scaling when there's absolutely no need for it. If one has something worthwhile to say, then spending anyth

Sorry, but do you even remember the days before Bootstrap where developers come to showcase their work? Most of their crap are severely under-styled. Some forms in admin sections don't even have labels because the developers knew what the

I think the term you're looking for is "a la carte." Nickel and dime sounds terrible. Anyway, I'm personally a fan of subscription based services but monthly, not annually. People seem to forget annual subscriptions (except for domain names

I would buy it and I do think it will hit $800 or even up to $1,000 if it doesn't split. Why? In addition to all the exciting products they're putting out, they are JUST starting to get into the iPhone 4/4S business in China. The market ov

I think it's fair to say many of us start building things for fun in our spare time and hope it'll go somewhere. The risk is pretty high if you're only going zero or 100 and nothing in between. As for what level of traction you need, this

I agree with many of the other encouragements said here but I also want to add, think of a new, original idea. The photo space really IS way over saturated. Build something that makes a difference and improve peoples' lives.

If you're an introvert and charge your batteries by being alone, then find a way to do that without worrying about your day-to-day stresses. For me if I'm getting too zonked out, I end up in StarCraft II pissing myself off by playing with n

Haha - I know what you mean. I feel like if you have TOO much of these qualities you become un-hireable because you're probably a closet entrepreneur and many companies don't like that.

I don't mind seeing the same stories pop up in the feed on the next page as long as the link works. Let's be real here, these are links to blog posts, and new projects. It's not like someone's going to get killed if we see a repeated headl
