Can you elaborate? I'm not well-versed in WASM internals and I might be missing something. I mean, any integer with 8+ bits can be treated like an octet, but memory layout is very different (e.g. an array of i8 and an array of i32 look

The common definition of byte nowadays is an octet.

The library ecosystem is accessible from the many compile-to-JVM languages. Half tongue-in-cheek, half serious: not having Java's dev mindshare is actually a benefit.

That wasn't my experience. The grinder and espresso machines I used just needed rinsing between cups and a quick scrub at the end, plus cleaning the water tank once a week (depending on water quality, tap water is gross). Moka pots are

Just get an espresso machine (the real ones, no capsules) and a bean grinder. Coffee from freshly-ground beans tastes way better than Starbucks, is still $.03 per cup and takes only a few seconds to make with an electric grinder. Moka pots

Bundling also deletes dead code so it can potentially save a lot, especially if you import huge libraries and only use a small part of them.

Adding to sibling comment: structural typing vs traits is kind of a game changer. The way I use them is very different. TS still feels like OOP (since it's just a formalization over JS's implicit native typing). Rust and Haskell f

I'm kinda bad at these things so I'm not sure. GATs are a form of higher-kinded polymorphism but I'm not sure if they're really equivalent to HKTs. GATs are still missing anyways. Not sure how close they're to being

Kinda surprised not to see HKTs[0] mentioned which, AFAICT, is what really sets apart Haskell's from Rust's type system. Without HKTs you can't express a Functor typeclass/trait[1]. [0] https://github.com/
