I'm curious about this and someone here might know. Why do they bind to the 5HT2a receptor yet not cause trips? I always assumed the difference in strength between, say, DMT and psilocybin was because DMT was "more agonist" (

Custom elements are just a way to define tags. React solves everything that's inside that class you wrote... and in a better way IMHO. E.g. with custom elements there's a difference between an attribute and a property and it'

I'm curious, is there any advantage to this over software emulation, besides "I did it because I could"? (which is of course cool in itself).

But anyone with enough time to learn (or money) can do it anyways without much effort. (I'm trying to understand the exact difference here.) So it boils down to democratization? That anyone can do it regardless of skills acquired?

Can you elaborate? Would Adobe be painted in a bad light if someone committed a crime using Photoshop? Honestly it just feels weird. I've read the license restrictions and I can't see why they are there out what they're preve

In fact I'd go a step further and say that it's not only difficult but impossible to assess since it's pretty easy for the test subject to discern whether he was given a placebo or not, especially considering that the benefit

Well, during victorian times people got through surgery without anesthetics. What's your point? Not sure why you think studies aren't controlling for placebo? Although it's obviously notoriously hard with psychedelics. Just t

Don't you see a yellow "Buy now" button next to the cover? Might be a widget and some extension is blocking it. You can also buy it physical if you prefer (I do), check the bottom text in that page.

Just to expand a bit on the progression: it works because iii and vi sound a lot like I. E.g. in they key of C I (C E G), iii (E G B), vi (A C E). iii can be seen as Imaj7 without the root (C) and vi as Iadd6 without the 5th (G). So basical

I used to develop custom Node+React web apps for an org that required security audits. I was happy to get my code audited for vulnerabilities, but when the audit came it was just a bunch of boxes ticked for Drupal/WordPress/etc. v

Look inside the commit's comment. It's hard to believe that the request is accidentally rejected if your referrer is not Microsoft's download page.

Interesting, could that be a regional difference? Every single 90s kid owned a PS1 or N64 over here (western Europe) and MGS/FF7/Z:OOT were mandatory titles to own. PS1 was so easy to pirate that even lower-ish class could afford

I recommend staying away from street dealers. There was a huge influx of NBOx compounds sold as LSD blotters since 2017 (apparently there was a global LSD shortage around that year, and IIRC they're cheaper to produce?) Their safety pr

At least in my country there is no ISP monopoly (I can choose between ~8 providers at home). You're right that we have plenty of upload bandwidth, but the internet looks the same as everywhere else.

Your idea is more or less right, but the problem here is that Nyquist only applies to continuous functions, which a GIF is not. At frame boundaries the frequency is potentially infinite, like an ideal square wave. A GIF is already a sampled

I'm not even sure if Nyquist applies here since the GIF is already a non-continuous function and therefore has potentially infinite frequency components. The input itself is not band-limited. Another way to put this is that a GIF is al

Your inertia comment kept me (over)thinking for a while. So what is inertia, and what makes it interesting on its own? I guess we could describe it as v(t) = v(t - d) if a(t - d) = 0 for small d (velocity remains constant unless a force, i.

Well the US has a strategic interest on EU using their spyware. They're slowly losing their grasp on EU (e.g. threats regarding Nord Stream 2 in 2021). This could slowly turn into Cold War II and this time around it doesn't look l
