That article is just a big bitch fest, or maybe it is just his toen I do not like. You could have summed what he says into 2 sentences. As you say, it would have been much more mature to have compared the 2 products, show why their produc

Plus a portable battery charges more than just your phone. And with USB being so standard and available pretty much everywhere, it almost seems like a non-issue. It's not like back in the day when you had to have separate car chargers

There was a whole discussion about this the other day when it got posted on HN and since then, I have to say the name just seems more and more underground, and not in a good way. Something like Secure Mail Alliance would have been a much be

Cool, wanted to find out if it was possible to track anything, specifically I wanted to know if the C-bomb was more common in UK and Australia :) If would be nice if it was possible to change the tracked word directly from the interface (or

Fair enough, and thanks for all the info. I've never directly recruited, but I've heard the 15% touted by my ex-employers. Certainly for headhunters 30% is more normal. To me as a employee though I don't care what the rate is

Just buy a tool to cut your SIM down to the correct size, should be available on ebay. The actual SIM part of the cards are the same - although I think you have need a LTE SIM for full speed, may depend on provider...

I've only worked for fairly large companies, that recruit 10s if not 100s of people each year. I guess they get an "economies of scale" discount, and we've always had good candidates. If a recruiter was not to offer a go

Everywhere I've worked for in London it has been 15% for devs. If you're paying more then you need to negotiate better. The rates may of course differ for bigger companies, where recruiters are more likely to place more candidates

This is fairly standard practice, esp in the UK. Sometimes a candidate might be asking more than you are offering, but if the candidate is good enough you may increase your budget. It happens.

Yes, absolutely, I agree with you. But just because you were ex-NSA does that mean you can no longer work in related work? What if you built their data centres, and you took a job at Google and tasked with building their new data centres. D

It wasn't too long ago that Obama himself said Ed Snowden was not a patriot. Said it then, will say it again. The hypocrisy just reeks.

I don't trust Google more than anyone else out there. They are in the business of making money and don't much of a damn about their users. The only reason the NSA spying is a problem for them (imo) is that it may affect their bott

On the flip side of that, maybe you do want ex-NSA staff with the inside knowledge so you can protect yourself against their tactics. Isn't that the same reasoning for hiring ex-black hat hackers?

Liberals tend to believe that other countries cooperate with the United States because American ideals are attractive and the U.S.-led international system is fair. I just watched The Four Horsemen on Youtube. It's pretty interesting

This. The great thing about JS, and time has proved this, is just how powerful a concept it was from the start and just how misunderstood it was. Just because people misused the flexibility of the language does not make it a bad one. http:

The problem with direct democracy, as I see it, is that it can be gamed just as easily for short term gain. Given how politics works in the US, as well as all the lobbyists and advertising budgets that go along with both of these I'd s
