I'll second OneNote. I haven't used EverNote since 2011 due to a revamp if their UI which didn't sit well with me. OneNote is pretty simple and basic at it's core, but the ability to have multiple books gives separation

I don't know why people install the Facebook app on their phone. You can't view stuff offline, meaning you might as well just go to m.facebook.com, the browsing experience is pretty similar AND you don't need to install that

I agree with you. If you build your site with Progressive Enhancement then there really should be very little you need to do. We never support IE6, but generally will support IE8 and occasionally depending on the client need to support IE7
