I wouldn't be overly surprised if the title was not clear, or the text was not obvious. It like the ToS changes from your credit card company, you need to be a lawyer to decipher it! I'm only a casual Disqus user, I've maybe commented using

Because that's how most options that are likely to make money are rolled out these days. Disqus are not the only one using these tactics. I can't find the link the anti-patterns video/site, I'm sure someone will know the one I am talking ab

How about you buy one license and pirate another? That way the price would be roughly equal to what it would have cost if you had bought 2 copies in the US... All is fair in the world :)

Specifying a font for the ordinary text is a perfect example of designers prioritizing self-obsessed wankery over the user. It's a common phrase used through the US and Europe incidently, and used in the context of what you stated I don't

So all of a sudden we have become a design Nazi and telling people what their website can or can't include for design. The alternative to not allowing custom fonts is that people go back to using text in images to display their custom fonts

It's a fair point, but I think from a users point of view they should really need to get bogged down with the tchnical details. It can feel a bit "advanced" for the average user to setup, but if that is the case and they NEED privacy then t

I agree with you. I am now living in Canada, having moved from the UK. Facebook makes it much more practical for me to keep in touch with friends and family across the globe. Sure there is skype or email, or I could start a blog or whatever

I agree it's idealistic, but as you say it's something we should be aiming for. Unfortunately the only way that will happen is if people make a conscience decision and talk with their wallet; whether it is Apple, Samsung or Starbucks etc.

How about we not exploit their children or their adults? But of course, that will drive up the end cost of goods, which in turn hits everyones wallet directly and so everyone starts complaining. It's just easier to turn a blind eye and igno

But at this point the content has not been deemed illegal, no court has ruled as such. So the hosting provider has no obligation to remove it, doesn't matter how immoral it actually is.

So by that same reasoning, maybe the ISPs should all block access to this content, since it is via their service that the content is actually delivered?

Well, yes I agree with, just signing a petition will achieve nothing. Just like the man down the pub complaining about XYZ will achieve nothing except give him an outlet to vent. As the old saying goes: Actions speak louder than words!

Your glasses analogy is interesting but I think is misleading, in that it assumes there's a correct way to view things. I took it to mean you will see things more clearly, yourself. I may be wrong though.
