I think the part about perfecting your skill, instead of relying solely on talent, is probably where most people will find success in their lives.

My guess? We'll gradually shift back into larger households, with several generations living under one roof. Not that bad, when you come to think of it.

"Oh noes, somebody hacked our water pump!". A bunch of fear mongering drivel. It doesn't feel like cyber terrorism was ever ignored or neglected.

Those are all good ideas, as long as the state works as originally intended. I think you're putting too much faith in the system.

There's so many things that can go wrong, during the period needed for advanced intelligent life to evolve. Add to that the inherent difficulty of moving between solar systems. Space is vast, and we're not really making that much noise. I d

Which in itself is a bit weird. Mars and Earth formed in the same solar system, from an orbital disk around the same sun. Similar conditions and building blocks. Surely whatever improbability would be diminished because of this?

It's specific to the iPad. The marker indicating a tap, will show on specific UI elements, since everything is shifting due to the animation. The case is from Google's implementation, not this one. Not really something we can do anything ab

Come on. We're fighting proxy wars, losing friends, and recession is biting us in the ass. Please don't try and lecture us on what a real crisis is. We might not be in a world war right now, but war is war.

A few years back, when the credit crisis happened, several investment companies bought up debt, and then offered people to pay it off, with half or less, compared to what they owed before that. I don't know if they actually earned anything

Good point. One of the reasons for the Mac's success, during the last 7 years, has been the x86 architecture. They better know what they're doing - I would hate for history to repeat itself.

Not a bad solution, but I'd still prefer a red or green state (In my experience, color trumps shape). Of course that doesn't work for more than two options, but I have a hard time finding a decent use case for that anyway.
