That is one of the best movies I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of movies. But I am a little biased since I like that kind of stuff.

They don't actually care about safety, that's a lie, so compute and business strategy is the only thing stopping them. SoRA is the same. It's not ready and it's too slow.

Everyone asks, "where are the militias", but no one stops to ask "why are there militias". And if your answer is simply because "racist", "evil", or any other weird notion, you are most certainly enti

Most cryptobros are very pro open source and pro privacy, it's the whole reason they're trying to amass resources in crypto, to make it stronger and also to direct others to build up more resilient systems.

You have got to be kidding me. The government is the biggest criminal, this guy is nothing, this shouldn't even be a discussion.

Think about this: wire transfers. It has happened many times banks hold up the transactions and skim off the top with fees. Bitcoin has no such issue, it's completely transparent and far cheaper.

I tried to migrate from Firebase once and it wasn't really straightforward and decided against doing it, I think you guys (if you haven't already) should make migration plugins a first class priority that "just works" as

That's incorrect, it's a MUCH bigger business. It was clear to me a decade ago that this is where it was headed, transformers just made clear a realistic near term timeline.

It's very clear to me, let FSD stop the car, that puts all further blame on the guy if he dies or something happens. We should do everything in our power to reasonably and safely prevent it, and letting FSD stop does so, the rest is on

Agreed. I made a lot of mistakes hiring out my first set of employees, turns out that people are incredibly difficult to handle and manage, even when they are on a payroll.

I don't think you are correct on this, with ML workloads becoming a thing, increasing speeds across the board is extremely important.

As a native English speaker I would not dock points from this name for the gender related points as that doesn't even cross my mind, it's not relevant. Keep gender out of engineering.

Something tells me that image models are sufficiently small, it's easier to just have your differently tuned models sitting side by side so you can easily swap and inference on them rather than compiling it into one model.

You can't just go and rip out old code, it'll break everything else, you have to review each commit and decide what to do with each.

I think you're both misunderstanding how this works. AR should be without the light seal, VR should be with the light seal, simple as that.

The overton window keeps shifting. Fiction is fiction, you don't have to like it to accept that it should always be ungovernable. But society has regressed so much, we're way past having that legal and social understanding.

Wrong. Meta is the same, no ML. We wouldn't even have modern ML without Google publishing that paper. Regulation creates a problem and then creates a solution, skimming off the top every time.

LLaMA is pseudo open source. There's a huge difference. Mistral, for example, is real open source. Remains to be seen which one he picks (better be the latter), but Musk haters are worse than the fanboys, that much is clear by the bias
