Agreed. I see posts like this not being dissimilar to posting a paywalled version of an article when there is an open version available elsewhere. Would be good to have the URL switched to the official link you posted instead.

This response seems like a cop out to me. I, too, would like to know where one can buy meat without any packaging whatsoever. I suspect the answer is (legally), no where.

As another random anecdote from another random developer, I find the site's content far outshines any purported credibility loss - which just seems like a very silly argument to make.

Agreed. This is completely removed from the context of the article but I primarily consume HN on mobile and I detest it when quotes are done this way. I really wish something was added to the FAQ re this.

Like any MVP, time to market almost solely depends on your knowledge of the tooling. If the OP is familiar with what they've used, then I'm comfortable trusting that it's faster for them instead of having to learn something

I haven't used it it, but the new (like, really new) Iron Functions may be what you're looking for. I've only used the Workers/Cache so far, but they're dockerized so pretty much language agnostic. I'm making a

Woah, this is a big deal. I played with IronWorkers a lot and even built some tooling around spinning up a worker and long polling an IronCache waiting for output (yes, it was a little gnarly). I'm really excited to play with this.

I had to double take to make sure I didn't write your comment myself in a haze late last night. I moved to Shanghai a while back and sold / gave away / disposed of most of my earthly possessions. The really tough one for me w

I'm equally amazed how every Soylent article that passes through HN has people that seem to be genuinely offended that some people enjoy Soylent/the idea of Soylent and don't want their lives to revolve around "the beaut

Nah, you're not alone. I've commented in this regard before, but working in isolation for me just destroys my productivity. I find it very difficult to focus as I feel very alone in the work. I don't even need or want to be

I suspect for someone who has failed - rightfully or not - a recruitment exam in this manner, it may in fact be the only cathartic mechanism.

Man, you nailed what I was trying to say. I never would have described it as anxiety - because off the cuff it actually sounds pretty silly to be anxious about food - but that is absolutely what it is.

To be completely honest - probably nothing. This is a legacy issue on our end, not yours. I haven't even taken the time to explore migrating our GH/Codeship builds to GL CI. We essentially mirror our repos amongst both offerings a

Not OP, but as a majority user of Gitlab the only downside is integrations. By that I specifically mean Codeship. It's just not considered a first class citizen to some yet, which is unfortunate.

Yeah, that was in no way meant to detract from the rest of the Google Cloud offering. I only bring it up because we were just recently looking to migrate some of our serverless tooling (API Gateway/Lambda/Dynamo) and I really wa

This isn't entirely accurate as far as I'm aware. I lean very heavily on Lambda and Google's alternative - Cloud Functions - isn't even available to the public yet since it's invite only and still in alpha.
