I’ve worked for multiple companies and only one demanded I enroll my personal phone in their device management. I pushed back in a public channel and they reconsidered the policy. I left shortly after so not sure where that landed. Everywhe

Was the second script a different antibiotic? I could see trying a different class if the first didn’t work, in which case you’d want to take the whole course.

I’m an introvert and that’s part of why I prefer to live communally. When I live alone it’s very very easy for me to not interact with another person in real life for days at a time. That’s not good for my mental health in the long term, ev

I started a job hunt support standup group. I asked around in various tech communities I was already apart of for other job seekers who were interested. Once I had a small group, we picked a time we were all free to do a video call standup.

Kim Stanley Robinson has written and spoken about how unrealistic his Mars books are given the information we now have about Mars, specifically the perchlorates in the surface and the lack of nitrogen. They were written in the 90s, and his

As someone who has been stalked, I absolutely disagree. It’s already a risk for me to own property or do other basic things, because it exposes my address in a public database.

Human children eat food after a couple years but no one would argue they’re ready to leave their family unit. The OPs point was exaggerated but still valid.

I’ve messaged people directly, after seeing their work on social media. I’m always ready to hear “no” but so far they’ve been willing. I’m also an artist, and I go out of my way to make art for acquaintances who ask.

Actually I think caring for your children is one of the few times where it DOES make sense to set yourself on fire to keep them warm. I get the logic of needing room to get on one’s feet, but those kids still need care. Presumably their oth

Supporting their kids is one of their responsibilities. Child support is income-based. I haven’t had to navigate that system so don’t have specific advice, but I’m not going to support someone dodging child support.
