We have two sofas facing one-another with a table in-between, window to one side of the table. In houses here in Norway living rooms are often divided into 2 or 3 sections, where there is a dining area, a sofa(s) & chairs around a table

It's not even a question of there being a conspiracy, it's just a combination of incompetence and apathy. As an example of how easy your scenario is to achieve I received a letter from the courier division of the Norwegian postal

Finder lets you highlight a file then by pressing space it will show images in 100% size, play movies of certain file types, show PDFs in 100% size and let you scroll through them. It basically pops up a window much like a jQuery lightbox p

First thing I noticed, because it's first on the list, was namespaces. Very good to use ddl-this-list as you suggest an dthis is what I do, but it breaks in Angular when using, iirc, ng-show & hide and ng-if. I had to use camelCase

The space key preview was the one I meant, not the little box in a column to the right. Windows Explorer does not preview like Preview.

Norwegian plugs must be the UK plug's arch enemy, not grounded until the very last, 2 pins (the ground is on either side of the casing) and the sockets are at 0, 45 or 90 degrees (leading directly to exclamations of "Fuuck!"

Have to take issue with you on Pages, I have always thought it to be far easier to use than Word. Many a time I have started out with a Word doc and after half an hour just scrapped it and used Pages or, more recently, LibreOffice instead.

Iirc you used to be able to have the path visible at the bottom of the finder window but like so many things in OSX you have to set it to visible in the View or settings menu. I'm at work on a Winbox right now, anyone want to confirm t

Personally I hate it, I use NexusFile whenever I can. It may just be personal preference but I think Explorer is hard to use, doesn't preview anything like Finder does (and the Enlightenment File Browser also does on Linux). I think a

Round photos are so easy to have framed. /s The phone looked good but it seems to be made for a market of steampunk fans and cosplayers. Not sure how long it will be around with sales of about 100 per year worldwide at that price.

There is a law like that in most European countries afaik. In the UK it was called (back when I did business law 20 years ago) "fit for purpose" which was a vague description of 1. if it's a tumble dryer it should dry clothes

I think too many people here are focusing on consumer electronics and in your example i found what I expect the French law is also about: white appliances. We actually don't buy fridges and dishwashers expecting them to last 3-5 years

Sometimes the 'noise' from other people is the 2nd hardest part. I was told by an engineer in his 50s to go from door to door asking to speak to the boss because that's what he did with his 17 year old son and it worked for h

Why not Perl 2000? It's both futuristic and original. I don't think the name is the problem, I think that there is just too much competition among languages. If you ask a younger person which language they want to learn, will they
