I can't quite put my finger on it, but discourse forums always look very cold to me. Like an enterprise feedback aggregation where you're not sure if anyone will reply. It doesn't feel as explorable and cozy as older forums.

This is a good exercise in estimating workload. While the article says one week is insufficient to make something meaningful, I've found personally that you can write useful software even in a single day, as long as your feature scope

There's a difference between testing your knowledge (that is, simply trying if what you learned actually works), and being tested on your knowledge (that is, being judged on what was taught, which is what unfortunately happens in schoo

Brother inkjet is still running fine on the original ink fill from over 2 years ago. And we've been doing plenty of full color photo prints on it. Local model with large refillable ink tanks builtin, though.

I've been able to do this since I was young. For me, I can trigger it instantly. It's mostly very relaxing. Triggers a yawning response if I do it repeatedly. I think I actually learned it by forcing myself to yawn back then. Feel

On LGs you can just disagree with the online service agreements, and it will simply not do any weird stuff online.

Yup. The LGs are easy to keep dumb enough. Just need to fiddle in some menus to disable overscan and whatever magic TV filters are trendy.

I wonder if single twisted pair Ethernet that's being standardized with PoE might become popular for cheap sensor devices... Putting WiFi on a sensor makes no sense when you still have to run a power wire.

After a minute, I think. Depends on your breaker rating. 20 amps on a 15 amp breaker will take a while to trip. You will have wiring damage.

Yes, but if all the wires are rated 15A, and the breaker is 15A or less, there's no issue. The problem case is putting equipment onto a 20A breaker using 15A wires and plugs. Or putting 20A equipment on a 15A breaker and wiring. The br

Although, if you are writing a book to teach programming, you can't suddenly drop stuff like "evaluating expressions" on readers either. It might be meaningless to them. For example. If they come from a 'toy' progra

Same, went through a wiki and onenote stage. Didn't last. It piles up, and becomes a chore. Paper outlasts everything. Easy to organize spatially, sketch things, recompile notes, put many pages visible at once, decorate the walls... Un

Creates a matrix with one axis in a given direction. Then a second axis at a straight angle to that, based on a reference up axis. The third axis is simply perpendicular to both. Position goes into the last vector of the matrix.
