Very cool - giving it a try. I just wish it worked on the street lamp outside my window. From what I understand, color temperature can have a huge effect on your health. When I worked at an architecture firm, I attended several lectures by

The idea of "highway trains" is promising. Cars are still inefficient - only 1% of the energy they consume is actually used to propel the driver. It's hard to get too excited about anything involving cars.

Color of ink on a book != color you perceive, when compared to a monitor. The most pleasing books to read are on a cream stock ( The Elements of Typographic Style comes to mind), and thus have a bit less contrast than #fff vs. #000.

I love colorschemedesigner.com. I hope to write about color schemes soon, and include info about them in my SXSW presentation (if it gets accepted).

Hehe - if you saw an orange square on a black background, something is either wrong with your monitor or your vision :) Did you mean something else?

I like the thought that "sales is not selling, its understanding." Sales people are way more pleasant when they really take the time to understand your situation and needs.

I haven't had much experience viewing a Retina display, but since it displays at about 3x the resolution of a normal display (as mentioned in the post), fonts like Garamond should render much better on it.

Correct. The poor display of Garamond for copy text is used as a vehicle to discuss the relationship between medium and form. Garamond will look just fine in very large type.
