In all honesty, 12 pages per day doesn't really seem that much.

What fascinates me is that this was apparently written in just two days according to the commit log: https://github.com/PuruVJ/macos-web/commits/

Do you have any plans to implement some sort of model averaging or stacking? I believe it would bring great benefits to this landscape to have a working implementation of hierarchical stacking across various backends wrapped in a Python lib

Thanks for the clarification. I was indeed a bit confused by some of the implicit assumptions as an intuitionist myself.

You seem to be implicitly assuming that financial markets are efficient and that market makers and high-frequency trading firms are the ones making that happen. Both of these assumptions are demonstrably false.

You're underestimating the effects of breaking points and phase shifts. The planetary system could at any point snap and transition to a completely different mode of functioning with irreversible changes cascading one after another.

I second the recommendation of Gelman’s blog. He’s written a lot more about this particular case since then. Here’s a more recent article on the topic, for instance: https://statmodeling.stat.columbia.edu/2020/10/

The Energy Transitions Commission outlines in a recent report three steps for a net-zero future. They argue the first step should actually be to focus on efficiency and reducing consumption. See https://www.energy-transitions.org

> if something takes more than a few seconds just skip it (and maybe flag it as a tarpit for punishment) Good. Isn't that the point? Also, I like your use of the word punishment as something negative in this context.

Actually, I'm not sure how well recycling works in "Central Europe". In Czechia, at least, although waste sorting seems to work fairly well, as far as I'm aware, the share of plastic waste that gets recycled is negligibl

Andrew Gelman, one of the authors of the model, has some thoughts about that. I can't find the earlier article right now, but the Economist model counts with that as well. See the blog post (down in the first P.S.): https://

It's not misquoted. The author claims that the code "is required to not be rejected", which OP demonstrated to be false.

Technically? Nothing. Legally, this would be huge privacy incursion. In the EU, we have, among other things, (usually constitutional) right to privacy, anti-harassment and anti-stalking laws etc.
