Is watching coinbase 24/7 more fun? Trading is also a job you have to put effort in and one that does not appeal to me at all. I'd rather be programming.

It would only be a good heuristic if the same thing isn't being said about actual bad, failed ideas. But I'm pretty sure you can find similar "can't you just" remarks for those.

For 2 you could look at meteor, which does a similar thing with mongo. It's not relational, but with supabasr you also don't really get the advantages of a relational db, since the update events are about single tables.

I have the WD19TB and have a lot of issues with it. I need to unplug/plug it multiple times a day since things stop working (display not detected, USB devices not working, ...). Both on windows and Ubuntu. I also can't seem to get

Ok, if we forget the comparison with sqlite, it's a nice and useful library for python devs Thanks for making it available.

Having the best performance isn't necessary for a lot of use cases. Sometimes you just want to store and search a bunch of json objects and for that the mongo api is way more convenient then the postgres/sqlite json options

What's the problem with using a word like fat in a way that has no negative connotation (as in fat client)?

But facebook is not in the business of selling your data. It's in the business of selling your attention and it uses data to do so. There's nothing about this leak that changes Facebook's position in this market in this regar

Nautical maps (available, but not the default on vesselfinder) are usually a bit special. There's custom standards like ENC s-52/63/57 etc. Typically with a huge amount of symbol layers etc. Which is just one of the many reas

For example passing down a function which is not memoized can trigger a bunch of non-obvious side effects lower in the component tree when your component re-renders. I feel like with hooks/functional components I need to think way more

I was talking about angularjs. not angular. And like I said, react promised immutable state would solve a lot of problems, but it turns out you lose a lot of convenience as a developer while not gaining that much.

I never got the appeal of state management in React. People now seem to rave about Svelte, because you can just do 'count += 1'. But you could do exactly this already in Angularjs (which, just like Svelte, had a template language)

Germany, Denmark and Belgium are all bordering 0.30/kwh. Cheapest is Bulgaria around 0.10. So Lithuania pricing seems to be quite average. Maybe they mean highest relative to average income?

It's not uncommon to do some webrtc video compositing (MCU) in a headless chrome, since it's usually the easiest solution and you can add some decorations with html on top. But it's definitely not very efficient. Especially s

Javascript can do the same, but I think it's an anti pattern, since now the caller doesn't know what side effects, or performance characteristics you get by accessing the property with an implicit getter/setter.
