Are you intentionally describing having a Slack chat for a project and asking for status updates there? You still don't need a meeting for that if everyone actually does it.

Sometimes, when I need to pee, I say "I need to pee". I find this complex, advanced strategy works pretty well.

It's usually possible for the person running a small project to ask everyone for status and know what everyone's going to say in the meeting before the meeting. Then the meeting is pointless. But not all projects allow for that.

I agree with this. It appears that in this case, macros are a band-aid over missing features in the type system. I feel like structural typing or anonymous sum types would solve this problem without macros. I mean given A = X | Y and B = X

It definitely isn't. The amount of information you can store in the universe is something like 10^120 bits. Even if I'm off by a trillion orders of magnitude it doesn't matter.

Yeah, it seems like they were writing massive volumes of useless ephemeral to-do lists and throwing them away was easy. Maybe they were doing it wrong and should've been writing down durable knowledge that has lasting value. I write do

This is interesting. I guess I have all of my Whatsapp and Facebook messenger chats saved and have never thought about it. I have never even thought about this being a burden in any way. It's interesting that people have such different

I would enjoy a digital hoard of stuff like that, but not a physical hoard. I have since digitized all of the stuff my parents hoarded and got rid of a lot of the physical items. It doesn't really cost me anything on an ongoing basis t

I feel like this too. I remember one time I came across a stack of notes (the throwaway kind I just write to help me learn) from school and I read through them, it made me very nostalgic. Especially reading homework set by teachers who have

Personally, I don't "get myself" to do anything, I just do it for fun. The usual cycle is that I start hacking on some fun thing like an implementation of rules for a board game or trying to work out how some library I use wo

I don't think anything I have described warrants being evaluated for neurodivergence. Can we not just say different people are different and call it there? I know a lot of people that can't stand tiktok and insta reels.

You're saying that because I like long form content, movies, and documentaries, I need a psych eval? I realize that my comment may have been written poorly and I'm sorry. If it was unclear, I meant that I find watching long videos

Actually, I've already tried that and found it boring from the start, not just after a few hours. I found context switching between videos to be exhausting, not worth it given the low amount of content per switch, and I prefer vegging

In REPO it can be 10 minutes until you see an enemy, then if you kill it, the respawn timer is like 10 minutes. Towards the end of levels things get much more frantic, but if you're fast you genuinely can do multiple levels without eve

Okay, that hits the third question but the second question wasn't about whether there exists a situation that can be talked out of. The question was about whether this is possible for ANY situation. I don't think it is. If people

Can you explain how this is rent seeking? It seems to be straightforwardly not rent seeking. 1. Company develops model, invests in research, hardware, and software. 2. Company sells access to the model. (1) is the step that makes this not r
