Thanks, it makes at least some sense then. I'd expect them to sponsor Omarchy similarly then, in my twittersphere that made way more noise lately

How is project like Framework Laptop able to sponsor anyone? Are they profitable? Had an impression they're more of a startup stage project far from profitability.

We run proxmox on a bunch of hardware servers, but for "homelab" we use Ubuntu on ZFS + Incus cluster. What I look at is IncusOS: a radically new approach to base cluster OS: no SSH, no configuration. So far it looks too radical,

Yes, would be a major upgrade Then let us understand will it be a separate PC (or mini computer) solely for gaming, or is it still some familiar OS that can be used for other purposes too? Arch? Debian?

I wish Linux had two more things: - https://github.com/winsiderss/systeminformer power-user process explorer - something akin windows system monitor, gnome's needs an upgrade

I agree with the author. Is that an OS image you put on a machine to make it a game box? Or is it a piece of software you put on your existing Linux? Or a framework for game developers? Not clear.

> multi-device Can someone explain, is this different from adding (up to 5) devices to your Signal account? Are these devices all "primary" or something?

Sorry but if you try to prove 2+2=4 in ZFC versus Type Theory (HoTT-style) – nothing looks elegant about ZFC afterwards.

"Usual", "most common by far" etc. are all great phrases, but not "all of mathematics", esp when we talk about math related to computer science

Sure, but is discarding Type Theory and Category Theory really fair with a phrase like "All of modern mathematics"? Especially in terms of a connection with computer science.

> All of modern mathematics is built on the foundation of set theory, the study of how to organize abstract collections of objects What the hell. What about Type Theory?

It's a container with full os: systemd, journald, tailscale, ssh inside. No need to learn new docker world, just install the deb with your software inside In a cluster mode, you can move container into another machine without downtime,

I'm now deploying all my projects in Incus container (LXC). My base system is upgradeable, ZFS-based, in future will be IncusOS but now just Ubuntu. Incus is connected in cluster so I can: backup/copy projects, move between machin

$3 VPS running Headscale is not simpler since you won't be able to run both headscale and tailscale on your end user machines, I don't recommend it. The solution we've found is running a white IP container (or VPS) which look

Really excited to try this out. I have a fleet of containers on ubuntu + incus. Not only does this do ZFS optimization, I look forward having easy container optimized backup, live cluster migration (to a different machine without downtime)

Why not just use Arc and clone the cyclical references as much as you want `button: RefCell<Option<Arc<Button>>>`?

I actually discovered that emacs is great as it is out of the box (except for creating annoying backup files with ~ at the end). I use it instead of nano and vim.

Still not clear why not just take any webassembly-friendly UI framework like https://www.egui.rs/ (btw compare how much faster it starts).
