Is it? As far as I understood it, Tauri is a safer Electron, not a lighter one.

Don't quite understand why not more mobile apps have a radial menu. Seems like a reasonable choice for one-thumb controls.

There is also lattice-based cryptography.

Most people welcoming them were probably of German descent themselves.

Isn't use part of Elixir? At least I saw it in Elixir in Action, use GenServer or something...

"When we do retrieval, we embed the query and then find other points close to that query." To me that just sounds like OpenSearch with extra steps. How is this different/better than a search engine?

Could we expect performance gains from Sqlite being in the kernel?

I see. I just tried to sign some data with an RSA key, and the results differed in Node and Bun.

Bun is pretty awesome. However, the node:crypto module still doesn't work 100%. So, I can't use it yet.

I always wondered why a RAG index has to be a vector DB. If the model understands text/code and can generate text/code it should be able to talk to OpenSearch no problem.

Got one 5 years ago, and wouldn't go back. It's really nice, especially if you can regulate the temperature. Very refreshing in the summer. Don't even need paper anymore, it just blasts everything away, lol.

Half-OT: I played Balatro. It eats hours. However! It drastically cut down on my doom scrolling. Would be cool to see if someone could design a game that was addictive, but also fade you out of this addiction natively.

Isn't that mostly a question of composability?

What's the reason for measuring the model size in context window length and not GB? Also, are these small models OSS? Easier self hosting seems to be the main benefo for small models.

I read Permutation City and Diaspora. Good books, with cool ideas. Egan hits you with a known concept, but then goes into a totally different direction than expected.

What I wanted to say is, the session key isn't generated from the private keys of either party. If I sign any data, it's mathematically linked to the certificate, but that doesn't mean the cert was involved in creating the da

Fair. However, most people are using stuff like JS and Python. For them even the non-dependent type systems are an improvement.

Yes, as far as I understood DH, the symmetrical keys don't have any mathematicial relation to the asymmetrical ones. I guess, the only reliable way is to sign the response, which requires changes to the server

A few days, I read that someone claims to do that. But there was no background info. Just "We use ZKP to prove we got the right data" So, it's technically possible?

I feared so, thanks. I was hoping responses were signed.

Half-OT Is there any way to account a response of a TLS enabled server to it's public key? Something like reverse fingerprinting?

Ah, okay. I was just thinking if there were any technical constraints preventing this. Because you mention Ichnaea API compatibility, and I didn't know if that spec even allows that.

Is there a reason the API doesn't return the locations of the access points so the clients can calculate their positions by themselves?

I got better at math after programming for a few years. Maybe, we need alternative approaches, to make the topic more interesting.

How does this work? I understand the issues with "baseline RAG", as I experienced them myself. They make sense to me, if I query "what are the major themes of this dataset" on a list of articles, and the RAG tries to fin

It's nefarious! Especially if you have a dopamin deficiency (ADHD, etc.) and you eat so you aren't bored. I can eat 500g of m&ms in one sitting, no problem, and I'm not even overweight or something.
