Not a fan of these "old man screams at cloud" posts, but I had a similar experience. Suddenly, everyone was talking about HTTP APIs, when they said API. With the rise of IOS and Android, I expected the mobile devs would build some

Sounds great. Does this run with VSCode and how hard is it to set this up?

Yes, sounds like Copilot but without the benefit of using my favourite editor.

Then maybe not in the windshields but in glasses and contact lenses.

I always wondered if polarization could be a solution to the problem. Polarising headlights and adding a filter to the windshield.

No idea. Most of my code is written by AI, but it seems most of my job is arranging that code. Saves me 50-80% of my key strokes, but sprinkles subtle errors here and there and doesn't seem understand the whole architecture.

"Did you find UpWork worth pursuing?" Personally? No. But I met a few people who were pretty serious about it, and made good money there. "What type of blogging are you doing?" I chose a platform (dev.to) and started

When I started, I checked out websites similar to Upwork and Fiverr. I also found some gigs through friends. Later, started tech blogging and companies started approaching me. What helped the most was becoming a contributor for an tech ecos

I don't know much about fintech, just that token incentives motivate people to host service I'd like to use. Proof of work for stored data sounds like a reasonable use case for me.

Yes, it's mostly a shit show. NFTs, meme coins, etc. I don't understand most of that. I keep to my niche, build with stuff I think is interesting, and keep away from most of it.

I started in crypto just three years ago, and while it's a bit more alternative, overall it's just business. Sure, I get paid in all kinds of tokens, and it's nice to see some coins rise after I get paid, which makes freelanc

I'm a freelancer, which makes things much easier. Usually, people ask me to work for them full time, and then I tell them I only do 30h/week max and they're usually good with that.

Impressive! Yet, when you compile to Lua, the GC and system programming features are moot.

A week ago I went into the XR glasses rabbit hole and it seems there is much happening. XReal released a 6DoF model with 2x1080@120Hz that weights under 100g. That's something you can wear in the wild without looking crazy. With Samsun

I just saw the BTC ROI over the years. https://x.com/Audiodidakt314/status/1867216724413522281/phot... Either it will become more stable in the future or the interest will fade and it will dump.

Going from changing the code and then describing it to describing your planned change and then implementing it is a good idea. Now, I just need some GUI indicator or CLI prompt to ensure I don't lose track and I'm good to go!

While I appreciate reasonable deadlines; I hate people enforcing absurd ones. I need to get this stuff done until tomorrow and then it will lie on your desk for 2 weeks? No thanks.

I was looking at XR glasses the other day, and it seems that phones are ready to be PCs soon. For $400 you can get some virtual displays you can carry around everywhere. The next gen comes with 6DoF, and when they half or quarter in price,
