"The case against reality" is also about that. But as far as I know, not many scientists think this is a reasonable idea.

Transfer skills are important too. I saw quite some Flash devs struggle after the iPhone release. Still, there were some that were good Devs that transitioned into other technologies.

You should be loyal to your craft, not to your employer. You might have a job as a developer at some company that could get terminated at any time. Your skills and reputation remain irrespectively.

They said "stops beneficial to one party", not that any of the parties stops liking it. Many people don't like their jobs, that doesn't mean they don't benefit enough from it to pay bills.

Genuine question: Why would you use Solid instead of Svelte? I'm coming from React and most alternatives seem quite similar to me. Only Svelte does things very differently with its compiler. Vue and Solid just seem to be a different fl

Why should BlueSky (or X or Mastodon) should be the sole arbitrator of truth? Are they the sole arbitrator if they simply use a DNS record? That's the same tech used to verify their official website.

As far as I understand quantum error correction, the number of physical qubits might vary between systems with the same number of logical qubits. So, if you care about the overhead, they might not be equivalent in practice.

That's why I like Aider. You can protect your files in a non-AI way: by simply not giving write access to Aider. Also, apparently Aider is a bit more economic with tokens than other tools.

I tried it too, but gave up quickly. If you don't have issues with CLI tools, you're better off with stuff like Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet, Nix, Guix, etc. Deploy LGTM or SigNoz alongside your apps and you're good to go.

I've seen things you wouldn't believe. Infinite loops spiraling out of control in bloated DOM parsers. I’ve watched mutexes rage across the Linux kernel, spawned by hands that no longer fathom their own design. I’ve stared into S

Next.js is a framework built on the React UI library. Similar to SvelteKit, that's built on Svelte, and Nuxt that's built on Vue.
