Nothing kills my interest faster than seeing Manjaro. What a bad choice of distro, for users, and/or as a partner. To me, it shows they don't get it. SBCs can be such a nightmare.

Sometimes it's nice to dream. A nice bonus if other people respect your autonomy to use one's time on Earth as one sees fit.

LunchMoney is now the sole closed source application that I (1) love, (2) use daily, (3) blows away OSS alternatives. Jen is brilliant, the product is great. It just gets steadily better over the last 4 years, while remaining the same core

I'd like to know how much Tauri is driving interest in Servo. I was ecstatic to see that Servo is using Tauri as a "test client" of sorts.

I'm so frustrated reading these comments because I assume this is the logic used at these companies that make my life a daily pain in the ass. My email is more secure than my phone. This is shown to be evident on a monthly or bimonthly

As usual, this conversation seems to be one side pointing out how god awful SMS is for security, usability, etc, and the other side going "but how else can we accommodate helpless users". (edit: sorry missed an important negation

I wired up my deployment GitHub action to trigger a relay switch in an esphome device, whenever it finds that one of my SBCs might be offline prior to deployment. I also setup an esphome automation on another plug that my space heater is pl

I love 'jj'. I would easily bet on it if I could. I know it's HN and the criticism is almost a badge of honor, but I really hope people try it out. I also use `jj` without anyone else knowing. I get to smile a relieved smile

Exactly what I thought of. I've used a technique similar to the OP for bypassing FRP on a Pixel 2 that I bought used on Craigslist. Also provoked a similar thought of how my entire life was set in motion staring at this screen for hour

Is there a similar term for people that go 6 years without upgrading their os? Especially when it's been declared unsupported? No, really, who is the person that demands to be able to use 2024 software on an unsupported eol distro from

Really wish people would stop invalidating others because of their own god damn protection. I haven't eaten fast food in decades. Cutting gluten changed my life. Go on everyone, tell me how I'm a fraud.
