Sounds horrible (at my location). Much better to do regular contracting then.

Does anyone even hire you if you are that expensive?

If you do that it seems you have to do nested virtualization

Isn't "war" a big part of the US economy?

No thanks. In our case we would then need to hire DBA etc. I prefer to have as many managed (in this case by AWS) services as possible.

I thought by default it does not forward? But I guess better safe than sorry.

That is not what WSL is about though. In that case you would probably want a proper VM or use the Windows OpenSSH Server and get into the WSL CLI that way.

Because I do not care about Linux Desktop.

    by k8sToGo 5y ago

Why would you want to SSH into WSL? Sounds to me you are not using WSL for what it is meant to be used.

Automating it away (Ansible and Docker) is a good way to reduce overhead. I barley invest any time in maintaining my infrastructure.

They were aware of the changes, but as they stated: it seemed to be working fine and, therefore, was ruled out early on as a potential problem.

I feel like my YouTube Watch hours get less and less over time. Not sure, but I think the recommendation algorithm has become very bad. Back in the days I used to find new and interesting stuff, but these days it just keeps recommending the

Yes, I agree. For multiple users, I would definitely switch.
23. 533.▲
    by k8sToGo 5y ago

It is funny, because to me "only a file you have to sync (and backup)" sounds more like an advantage than setting up an entire server environment just so you can access your passwords.

It is not the cards that are that expensive. It is also the switches etc. Also SSD are not 100 EUR / TB. A 4 TB SSD is like 300 EUR.

I took a self test after having symptoms and it was positive so I just isolated myself instead. I skipped doing an official test because just as you said it does not provide any relevant information to me other than what I already know.

This advice is good in general, but I don't think one should do job hopping right away fresh out of college or very early in the career.
