Ha! I see I elicited the copy/paste response I’ve seen elsewhere. The gp comment I was replying to implied a JSDoc only solution (“all in JSDoc”), but given the response, clearly they’re still relying on the TypeScript language service

I’m curious how type checking is possible in a JDoc project. As far as I’m aware there’s no way to get type checking to work without tsc or a TypeScript LSP plugin.

Agreed. Why not have one installed by default and the other 3 could be recommended by DSL as alternatives?

I was expecting a critique on the centralized nature of the infrastructure and the fragility that comes with it.

I really think that Rust has one of the best designed/inspired type systems. If I had to rewrite a Python project, I would consider Rust or another statically typed language before choosing to continue in a dynamic language with types

Ahh this might explain the behavior I observed when running npm install from a freshly checked out project where it basically ignored the lock file. If I recall in that situation the solution was to run an npm clean install or npm ci and th

I disagree. The BLS head was either incompetent or corrupt. The two are not mutually exclusive so they easily could have been both. Firing the BLS head was the obvious choice and it sends the right message to all involved that we will not a

This speaks to me. Lately, I’ve encountered more and more anti patterns where the project’s build system was bucked in favor of using something else. Like having a maven project and instead of following the declarative convention defining

Is it only the keyboard shortcuts that they’re borrowing from VS code? I hope they have plans for LSP and extensibility.

Ironically the debate/discourse here is healthier than anything we see from US Congress. Presidents have a limited number of terms they can serve, but there is no limit on the House and Senate and change is hard if not next to impossib

If you can handle the responsibility adopting a dog can be a very rewarding experience with physical and emotional benefits. Many adoption centers will work with you to make sure you are a good match and can provide a loving home.

Ha! Are you sure about that? These so called student activities have been anything but peaceful. And they are being instigated on American soil by foreigners which is an obvious violation of their Visa stays.

I’m curious. What kind of work would management ignore or look at negatively? If the work needs done, shouldn’t you be able to justify to management? For example, by doing X this will improve our efficiency in performing Y by 80% and help u

Ahh. Good point! Perhaps a better analogy would be that the brain processing power is represented by the circuitry. I’d be curious to other interpretations for why it appears where it does.

Interesting. When I look at this I see printed circuitry like you would find on a PCB. In which case it could represent the electrons flowing downwards into the processor which powers the shell. And the power source might be the wizard hims
