Isn't Dommy basically testing plain JS vs. jQuery at this point? That's kind of my point. I'm also curious how well Dommy would perform in the 'real world'; seeing as everything is compiled down to plain JS, then the divide between library

Interesting, but I'm not sure how appropriate it is to be comparing it to jQuery in such a head-to-head fashion such as by saying "15x slower", etc. Does Dommy offer the same features (including the browser support) that jQuery does? If not

Wow, I didn't even notice that. That is very slick! I played some of the "videos" and thought the implementation was nice, responsive, and smooth; I had no idea it wasn't pre-rendered video.

I love that one, such a simple yet profound commentary on the life of an engineer.

Thanks for the info. I was mainly speaking of the audience that the OP was addressing, i.e. engineers who likely haven't had much if any formal marketing training (I've only had 1 semester worth), as they are the ones on small (or solo) tea

I'm flattered, but I'm really not into marketing or sales at all, just a developer that reviews many poorly-marketed projects. So, I'm not really qualified to do much more than rant about it here on HN :) Thanks though, perhaps the OP would

Hi! I'll preface this by letting you know that I'm not a marketing professional -- I'm in development, and so my POV is going to be more technically-oriented, but I did give your site a glance and it's very approachable by my standards: * a

I'm not trying to take anything away from you at all, because what you've provided is very good. However, I'd like to say something about marketing vs sales , in that it seems like your material is more geared towards sales than marketin

That still doesn't prevent you from needing to do that on each request. Also, with most frameworks, they're usually quite complex; how else are you going to be everything for everyone? Complexity comes at a cost, most notably in framework l

After looking at the code in more depth, I feel I should point out that it looks like `arguments.callee` is only the last-ditch fallback for generating a trace. I see baked-in support for Chrome, IE, FF, Safari, and Opera, and so unless you
