He's playing to his strength which is smart. Trying to compete with Adobe on cross-app desktop integration is a fool's errand. Going balls to the wall "Web" is something that might net him a thin slice of Adobe's delicious market share.

Yeah, I'm sure the CEO of AOL just mentioned that he wanted to acquire TechCrunch out of the blue and that Arrington had no idea.

What do you mean by "brandishing" an iPhone 3G? Have you ever considered the possibility that you're just as petty as these individuals? All in all this is a pretty inconsequential posting.

All business logic is in the database itself. It has ACL's and data validation built into one feature (update validation) and as for deciding which data to display and when, the map/reduce-based view API is extremely powerful. Force yoursel

Ustream has had an iPhone streaming app for ages now. It's pretty damn nice too. Qik has one too but it's a complete waste of time.

If Firefox were an OCaml project, it would have likely died before hitting 1.0. Also, I've never used OCaml, so maybe I'm wrong here, but I highly doubt it's faster than C.

I tried to email you but it bounced back to me. I am intrigued by your ad idea though. I'd be happy to get some more details. I could totally goad a super hot chick into doing it.

You couldn't be more right. After reading all the comments here and on the blog post, I've decided that I've been in my own little world with this app for way too long, and I need to go do something else for awhile. If it's really worth doi

I've been running this for a few months now and have been having a lot of fun toying with it. The built in WebSocket stuff is really cool, and the template language is easy.

Every time I read an article written by Michael Arrington, there is a 3rd grade-level spelling error in it. > Otherwise you’ve just waisted all that time your users put into the product. It seriously drives me nuts.

I'm convinced all this noise being made over the iPhone 4 "defects" is a very sophisticated PR push by Apple's competitors. My iPhone 4 hasn't dropped any more calls than my 3GS did. Maybe it's just me.

Great site. I just use email to send mockups 99% of the time, and sometimes I have them printed in hi-res. Good luck though! I'm sure there are plenty of people looking for something like this.

Depends on the type of equity being offered, and who it's being offered to. The equity being offered here is probably worth nothing, or worse, is a liability. Especially since it's being offered to a "young and hungry" AKA "green" programme

I find the term "cofounder" to be way overused, especially on HN lately. Once a company has been founded, and an initial product launched, how is it possible to "hire" a cofounder? Also: > The site needs someone young and hungry to work
