Wired reported on it in 2011. Seems like a real thing. http://www.wired.co.uk/magazine/archive/2011/04/start/mind-c...

Loved this story. I can completely sympathize. I had been programming in school and for fun a little before my first hackathon, however I had not yet made any "real" apps. I attended my first hackathon a few years ago (pretty sure

I think our main focus here is to promote CS high school education. There are definitely hackathons for people interested in design and business, but ours is mostly for people interested in programming.

We will have 100 mentors (at least that is our goal) to help beginners and many tech talks

Throughout the various collegiate hackathons that I have been to, there have not only been a few high schoolers in attendance, but many of the winners were actually high schoolers! Our goal here is to make hackathons less intimidating to hi

Thanks! There is a lack of good high school computer science education, and we feel that hackathons are part of the solution!

Personally, I think the "Download Bootstrap" button is too ambiguous. Why is the default color the same as the background color, it is just confusing and ugly

I don't play SC, nor am I interested in the app, but I have to say... your site is GORGEOUS.

I would have done that, but it is much easier to set it to Control (on OS X there is an option for Control, but not Escape).

Did Aaron release the articles, or just download them? If he released them, using what medium?

I'm in 10th grade, and I have noticed that my friends and I (well especially me) rarely use SMS. 99% of the time we use Facebook messages to communicate.

Hi Brandon! I am also in high school (currently a sophomore). Personally, I would suggest two main things. 1. Just build something. You said you were using Django. Find an idea, and build it! You will learn a lot as you build it. 2. Udacity

I'm currently a sophomore in high school. Am I old enough to apply, and is it worth it for me (I live near NYC)?
