As a home user of Office on Mac (and therefore didn't bother with these things), I have to ask: What has been fixed, and what hasn't?

It's a mix of both. A 220 story building would be an engineering marvel, and at the same time not a threat to civil engineers. The bread and butter for engineers are much smaller buildings, which are less technically challenging and ac

I am currently just another college student, but I have some experience in this field, as I had interned at Xilinx (which is the largest FPGA maker right now, iirc, although Altera may have taken the crown). I don't think your typical

> Compare your acuity in outdoor, shaded light, to a solely fluorescent lit environment The amount of light in the shade outdoors, or on an overcast day, is around 12 EV [1]. A bright indoors office with fluorescent lights is around 8EV.

Yeah, a lot of people are hung up on the "takes 4 days to brute force" part. I'd be willing to guess that most phones have a passcode that's like "1234", or between the numbers 1900 and 2100. 300 tries can easi

Does Lenovo enforce whitelists on its Thinkpad laptop line too? Or just non-Thinkpad laptops. If they have Thinkpad whitelists, do you remember if IBM did so when they owned the Thinkpad line?

Wow, you're right. I've never noticed as such, but in retrospect very little info on history that is designed to be mass consumed actually contains historical notes that include the technological advance itself. Does anyone know o

It took me a few mins to realize that this page is interactive. Press the "Earth" button to set time/date, move to current location, height of wind currents, overlay, etc.

Website's user design is bad- opening "more details" in a new tab, for example, just redirects to the homepage. It's also not very filled out- major services like DuckDuckGo and Instagram just have stub pages. The proble

For Microsoft stock? I think it doesn't matter that much. Microsoft stock is notoriously stable for tech stocks, so the difference between an all cash deal and an all stock deal wouldn't be too big after, say, a year or something.

Magic Lantern is pretty fun, but I bought it because it fits in my to-go bag unlike my dSLR and it's ridiculously cheap for an APS-C camera. It's by far the best mirrorless camera in its price category. You need to go up to to alm
