But she was biased. She seemed so biased against her own company that her intended course of action seems to be to destroy it.

He wasn't shutting down her academic freedom. However, if you're going to diss what your own company is doing and praise competitors, you probably shouldn't be on the board. >During the call, Jason Kwon, OpenAI’s chief str

She only founded one, Fellow Robots, and that "company" went nowhere. There's no product info and the company page shut down. She was CEO of GeoSim for a short 3 years, and this "company" also looks like it's g

It's certainly telling when you're more known to be an actor's wife than anything to do with AI or the company you're on the board for.

That would have opened them up to a lawsuit (while employment is "at will", you can still get sued for negligence or baseless slandering). A statement retracting claims for such a high profile move would be a pretty solid piece of

Her move makes even less sense than what the board did. The board told her the day before that they're firing Sam, so she obviously accepted it. But, one day later she caves and sides with Sam (that's what the heart tweet means)?

They were really dumb to fire him in the first place. At this point, they're just stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I'm not trying to throw undeserved shade, but why do we think this is something as complex as that and not just plain incompetence? Especially given the cloak and daggers firing without consulting or notifying any of their partners bef

I guess since they're doomed anyway, resignation saves face a little bit more.

Because they won't have a company to "run the board for" anymore if Sam doesn't come back (since so many people have threatened to resign).

Their achievements are already framed in their best light. Hopefully you're able to tell the difference between serving as CEO or president of real reputable companies (the "trash tier startup" still exited for mid-8 figures)

None of that sounds like actual work or results. It's just a bunch of empty business speak. They are definitely not qualified to serve on the board of a company like OpenAI.

Because he basically got fired by Tasha McCauley and Helen Toner who are inexperienced outsiders. Either Adam or Ilya initiated the move, but those two give them the votes needed to fire Sam. Not to mention those board members have no stake

As a Bun convert, it's interesting that they felt the need to have a preemptive response for Bun as part of this major release. The response itself seems unconvincing though: Basically, Bun is a lot faster and simpler, but they think t
