Interesting, but I don't base my Java logger strictly on performance. I prefer Logback for two simple reasons 1) single line log statements and 2) they show the thread name the log statement was generated in. This is by default, perh

Cool concept. I would change the phrase "Don't Play With Yourself" to "Don't Play By Yourself". It's semantics, but to me they have totally different meanings!

Hah! I have some friends who had some beautiful (copper?) gutter pipes installed at their house. The metal had a wonderful worn look to them. When I asked how they got it that way she replied that her partner had peed all over them for s

Agreed, I set up our dev team on Vagrant+Ansible+Github to ensure that we all have identical development deployment environments. Now pushing out configuration changes is as simple as doing a git push and telling everyone to pull and re-de

I've used Stevia a few times, but am not a fan. While it's definitely sweet, it's a very different sweet compared to sugar. When drinking something (like coffee) with Stevia, I notice that it's sweet on a different part of my tongue, and

Agreed. My wife is a huge gardener and I often get roped into helping her with a variety of tasks. Bed building, tilling, planting, weeding, watering, all of it! It's a very nice compliment to sitting my ass in an office chair 6 hours a d

I successfully did the same for my wife, but I have some gripes about it: 1) The instructions were not complete! It only walked me through disassembly and attaching the new screen. I had to walk backwards through the instructions to get t

Please don't password protect PDFs for books. It makes it a huge pain in the ass to actually read. I'd much rather you do what the Pragmatic Bookshelf does and just embed our name into the PDF.

I wouldn't say that firearms are the only durable product. I recently bought a Jet Mini lathe, and every piece of it has a part number and can be reordered from the manufacturer. It was a lovely feeling to know that it's build to last.

I'm guessing it's a leading zero problem, since all US Zipcodes are 5 digits (or nine). Going to http://zip.elevenbasetwo.com/?zip=01010 gives the same response noted above.

Thanks for the guide! I've got 21 domains at Godaddy and I've started transferring the inactive ones as a test. Once I've got a feel for the process I'll start moving the ones that have DNS entries with GoDaddy as well.
