Could be really nice. Please add contract positions and get the damn rates displayed else it's a waste of time. Anyone looking for a PHP/Python dev contract, shout me up!

Yep. It's literally a waste of time for me as I know the salaries will be so low.

Agreed. The fact someone would potentially risk their lives over a mobile phone is beyond me. And also, did the OP not consider the potential consequences of throwing a boiling drink in the face of another person armed with a knife?

You've just put into words what I've always been thinking. In the 7 years I've worked and contracted web dev across 6 different companies I have never, let's reiterate, NEVER had to implement a sorting algorithm. Howeve

I got burnt out on a contract a few years ago, was a horrible feeling, continually tired and falling asleep, no enthusiasm for the role. Switched to a different contract and halved my commuting time and turned into a different person. Now

My goto app on the iPhone is btcReport due to the clean interface, but I needed LTC as well so I built this. Interestingly I deployed it as a Django app on elasticbeanstalk and all the hackernews requests have just triggered autoscaling so

While we're here, I don't suppose someone who knows the scene could recommend an article or post that demos how to hook up a basic ios7 app to a general API (likely REST)? A goto post would be really useful.

I'd rather see a PHP/Symfony2|Silex or Python/Django|Flask RESTful backend than node.js.

We use Vagrant at Virgin Media in London. Great tool. Ps. please fix the issue where on disconnect, you can't vagrant ssh back, the only fix I've found is to restart the vm using virtualbox.

Agreed. I played with it once. Lack of decent content. Summaries sometimes not great. UI too simple. Flipboard is far better.

I come from a PHP background too and in my opinion Python is far easier to use, whole stack. I wrote about it here http://blog.jmoz.co.uk/learning-python-the-pragmatic-way
