Maybe I'm outside the norm, but as a YNAB user of over 10 years, I've never needed this. We split transactions across multiple categories all the time (shopping at Target for groceries, clothing, household goods, etc), but I expec

My wife uses an XR and I have an XS. Neither of us have any complaints, though I remember trying an app mentioned on HN that didn't work because it needed ... a newer version of neural engine, or something. We also got a MBP 5 years ag

Tangentially related, but I was trying to use their iOS app yesterday and the "Scan Text" iOS feature was just broken on both my iPhone and iPad. I was hoping to use that to scan a doc to text but it just wouldn't work. I cou

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, but I've seen codebases that have tests asserting the number of queries that should have been run. Those tests have caught a couple of issues in the past, and they do seem to make the engineer

Back around 2000-2002, I too had dial-up internet and had set up an auto-dialer to make sure the connection stayed up, as it was being shared throughout the house via ethernet and wifi. My memory is that we started getting very large bills.

Levine told us that he and 3-4 other docs in the US get most of the referrals for 2nd opinions for PHP/PPHP. Our local endocrinologist had seen 2 or 3 cases in her career, and he said he sees that many per week. I hope you get some goo

I have a child with either the same disorder or a closely related one. The doctors I've talked with (Kaplan, mentioned in this article, and Levine at CHOP just last week -- both wonderfully kind and knowledgeable men) seem to disagree

I see that this uses a Redis backend. Does that mean every metric operation goes to network? Are those synchronous/blocking calls, and are they pipelined with redis? If not, it seems like this could be quite detrimental to app response

I find a few things about Cedar exciting. The formal verification and automated reasoning stuff sound great! Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much of a story here to solve authz-aware searching/listing for object/row l
