“ Why should platform owners decide what's right and what's wrong” Because they made the platform. In some light, it’s the same logic that allows businesses to refuse service, or homeowners to defend their property.

Didn’t feel much substance in this, though to be fair I felt the same wait from his aws farewell (maybe I just don’t relate to his writing style?). Anyways, I think all the talk about breaking up google/Facebook etc feels performative

Disgusting. Never shopping from eBay again, though I can’t remember the last time I did if I’m being honest. How do current employees feel about this?

I’ve seen a lot of criticism for the NYT as of late, and, sadly, it’s almost all been warranted upon inspection. I’m not sure if it’s a case of the top dog getting all the scrutiny, but it’s crazy to me how a company with so many good journ

True. I think the actual cause is definitely multi-faceted, and expect a big cause is education. Both quality of that received (eg state funding), and level attained. Others have also mentioned other salient factors (psychology, etc)

Cool library. I’m not sure if the name adds any value (something more tree-based would make more sense?), but if you’re going to use it you should make a logo with noodles or something. GitHub readme needs some images.

What it really comes down to is these people severely lack in critical thinking, so while it is surprising that they fail to account for other, seemingly obvious externalities, it really shouldn’t be.

Programming is certainly the best way to get better at programming. Some other things may help improve your ability to program, but there is no substitute for the act itself.

I think these things are fair points for relationships, but the post is about sex in general, and busy schedules don’t tend to affect hook ups much.

Serious answer. Hoping for an actual reply but if feels like you’re just baiting given your “white supremacist” line in quotes (???). If you mean to ask what would happen if white people took it over? Having been through chaz a few times, t

Here’s something I made awhile back that uses it to generate Bob Ross drawings live from your sketches. (Never wrapped it up into an app but maybe I should): https://twitter.com/jdwlbr/status/1131244682317484032?s=

Could also do with cutting police funding. A local city in WA spends 53% of their budget on police[0]. Imagine if just a fraction of that went to education? I’d love to see solid studies on the efficacy/use of police budgeting. At a cu
