Yeah, I totally missed the sarcastic tone. I just thought she was making the joke on his actual illness, not the possibility of having another illness due to wine abuse.

One of his first tweets says how it's funny that Twitter only recommend journalists to follow. He clearly is a new user, as he had his son set it up for him.

I'm French. She says it because of the wine, but maybe it has to do with his illness? Maybe not...

He writes that his wife is worried for his liver (Day 3, I think). Maybe he has Hepatitis C? Edit: Well, this shows that I'm not a doctor. I have no idea if Hepatitis C can kill as quickly as this. Maybe he was diagnosed very late and his m

The source material is written in a rather simple and direct way. Short sentences, very specific words. It may make things easier for Google to translate. Very well written anyway.

It's very well written. Touching, to say the least.

Yeah, like this other paragraph about a future announcement, one of the top 5 cities by population: they are all asian. Is it Tokyo? Only one of these that publishes GPS data for its transit system. Or is it "global" = US?

Dear swarmiq, can we have screenshots or better yet a demo site to see how your product is "kicking ass"? The landing page isn't looking great and tells me little about what's so great...

Works for me (Chrome 27, Windows). Only the headers's borders can be used as handle, or so it seems.

SCSS still uses {} and ; while SASS goes for Python-like syntax with indentation doing most of the work. But they are the same thing and are developed by the same guys.

Thin font weights, dark gray text on dark background, light gray text on white background... Are they trying to make it unreadable to sight-impaired readers/developers? I cannot be the single one out there having had a bad sight...

I was disappointed. I expected the guy to tweak the columns's width and rows's height to make an array of "pixels" and then fill each one with a color (thus making an image). Instead, he merely uses the drawing tools of Excel to make his

Seems like a legitimate use then. How have you gathered stats to let you think that your users are vastly refusing push notifications for you to request it in iOS 7?

Do you have an example of such app? We keep coming up with examples of bad push notifications, yet cannot come up with examples of good ones. Genuinely curious.

There is this running joke here in France with our local Superman, Super Dupont. The guy's so patriotic and so proud of his country that he regularly pays his taxes late to pay the tax penalties and support his country. On topic, it's funny

When you know where to look, Arial really does stand for a truly ugly step-child of Helvetica. I guess it's fine only typography geeks can spot the differences, but for those people every appearance of Arial kills the game.

In France, G and J have the opposite sound: J sounds like G, and G like J. Makes sense? ;-) As such, everybody pronounces it "JIF" here. And it seems to go in the author's direction, so it's fine.

Looks awesome, it's well explained on the site, the icon is gorgeous (though it instantly reminded me of Procreate --- might want to check that), the UI is sufficiently "next-generation" (part flat + part iOS 6 = iOS 7?). However I don't un
