Unless the iPad has a Intel -> Apple silicon change in status like the macbooks I don't think I'll ever get excited about it. It's just a niche product and always will be. Making it more like a macbook...just makes it a ma

I'd assume that a mental health screening would be designed to work with children and their caretakers to avoid these scenarios. In any case, this is only an argument for the lower half of kids. They're starting at 8 years old. Th

Work on it, like anything else. Children are still growing - and it is the easiest time to make changes, just like it's easier to learn a new language. It seems like the best time than to wait until it crystallizes in your twenties in

Yep, I tell most people to avoid the "overdiagnosis" alarmism. Go to your doctor, ask questions, get second opinions. Don't trust random commenters on the internet. I wish I had my ADD treated much sooner. Some disorders are

I think you're right about perception to people considering going there. But I really think it just comes down to cost. Cities have gotten exorbitantly expensive. It doesn't make financial sense to stay in SF if you're salary

It's hard to blame any one piece of the system for inflating grades - everyone "wins" short term, and that's all this country cares about, from top to bottom. Students get their piece of paper so they can have at least a

> Life is hard. But we don't have it so bad. Life is relative. It's not an argument to say "yea but we're better than the Ancient Egyptians!" So what? That isn't meaningful. Using World War 1 really tells. T

I don't think anything in your list is all that impressive or innovative, other companies do most of those things, or do them better. In any case, none of them changed the way I interacted with the world like Search did. If any of them

I did - the rents are cheaper, costs overall are cheaper, there are more amenities, you aren't nearly as reliant on cars, etc. This is all out there online. Ultimately it comes out in the wash. If you get lucky and don't get fired

> Even taking all of those things into consideration, $200k in SF is better than $100k pretty much anywhere else. I don't know if that's true. The cost of living, in say, Pittsburgh, is 50% that of San Francisco, so at best it&

We're used to a comfortable and secure world. The fact is the world is not by default this way. Sometimes people have to fight, and die, for rights.

I would posit another opinion. Say the ozone opened up above your country. Crops are dying in mass. Heat has increased exponentially. It's unsafe for children to be outside. You're god damn right I'd go to war.
