Well an IDE would’ve been one option, as well as backend services for enterprise who are migrating to Rust. Otherwise as I mentioned the product is services like outsourced development, consultancy and training resources?

Building B2B services around rust ie. onsite training, consulting, development to me seems better than firing people - what am I missing here?

Not GP but: It may frustrate coworkers who need to edit the code. It adds another dependency into your workflow.

I’m pretty so IMAP is a confirmed “no” from DHH. I kind of understand that the IMAP protocol may hold back the design of Hey, but This is likely a non starter for me.

Yeah I didn’t know about the bugs.. still, the idea / design is good. Hopefully they get it sorted out

Probably, but it could also be a positive as it is not beholden to one of the major tech companies.

Possibly nim as well. But We should be able to provide interop between llvm and gcc so they can all cross pollinate in some way? Not saying it’s easy, nor that I have the skills to do it, but we should be able to build across boundaries

This is awesome - getting those chords to work must have been a pain with the harmonics and also keeping the groove. Thanks for sharing

My feeling is that a lot of tech forums have become Q and A / code support, and not a place for discussion.

i don't understand why he chose to build a new language? if rust sucks for embedded, why not spend you time helping improve it? if asm/C/C++ s so good, why not just continue to use his favorite language?
