    Yeah I get with redis-benchmark on a small machine: SET: 109051.26 requests per second GET: 109170.30 requests per second with 32 byte dataset.

    I was merely answering the question "What DDoS protection does AWS provide?". Normally you wouldn't expose a EC2 instance without putting cloudfront, elbs in front of it and locking down incoming traffic to cloudfront IPs.

    9:12 AM PDT Between 2:13 AM and 8:15 AM PDT we experienced increased error rates for API requests in the US-EAST-1 Region. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.
