I recently ripped standard accounts out of my web app and put in OpenID support with the ability to assign a password optionally in case all your OpenID providers magically go down at once. I'm very sold on some kind of login/password non-

I'm a fan of Smultron as well. I've been using it for a few years. I don't maintain a large, complicated code base so I haven't felt anything lacking. The editor itself is nice, it handles multiple files and interacts with Finder pretty

Depending on how accurate and fine-grained the detection is, this could make for some great pixel manipulation or bending-warping in an image editor or 3D modeling program given the finger size vs. the display size. I don't see this replaci

This has always been a topic of interest to me. The "System" (as much as/if there is one) is designed to facilitate a certain objective. In our case, economic growth and individual wealth. For brevity's sake, I'll skip the digression abo

Correct. Blaine Cook blogged (in the post this article riffs from) that they don't use ActiveRecord, for example. I believe someone has made the defensible claim that most of their activity occurs via clients (twhirl, alert thingy) and SMS

I would love to see some of this cash go towards supporting simple db or couch as an alternative to Postgres for some app types. I love Heroku. Some of their opensource bits are nice too. I'm enjoying building my app in the cloud.
