To those wondering why the quotes are given, I assume it's because no 23andMe system was compromised. The data was retrieved via credential stuffing, which is trying username/email and password combinations from other data breache

It's time to advertise ventriloquism lessons to Amazon drivers. Or the drivers could protest by wearing masks over their mouths.

I've used Portainer, which works ok. It's web-based and is easy enough to run as a container itself. My preferred UI for managing containers is Lazydocker. It's a terminal UI, so I can run it on servers too. For the most part

If you control the DNS resolution in your company and use an internal certificate authority, technically you don't have to rent a domain name. You can control how it resolves and "hijack" whatever domain name you want. It won

The parent commenter said "pursue and punish", not "put in jail". There are other forms of punishment besides jail time. But really I'm more concerned that the scam organization is shut down, even if the main scamme

And sometimes it's worse to customize the out-of-the-box solution than just creating your own solution. For some AWS products, it's pure pain to get it up and running in the configuration you require. There are edge cases and bugs

That's because AWS is creating very few new "core" products. Everything seems to be a hosted version of software someone else created. Or perhaps a product to hop on the latest tech fad (Blockchain, LLMs, etc.)

What programming language do you use with CDK? A year ago I tried CDK using python and all commands ran incredibly slow. I'm curious if that was fixed, or if it's a problem with other languages too. Did you start with CloudFormati

If you do, be sure you're on the side that is intentionally trying to find vulnerabilities, not the side trying to defend against them. The defense side sucks. You have to deal with security vendors that are eager to sell you snake oil

Looks cool. Thanks for linking it. It does mention that it's limited to 500MB per layer. For some people's use case that limitation might not be a big deal, but for others that's a dealbreaker.

The fact that a language is used for large, successful businesses/projects doesn't mean another language wouldn't be better. It's just terribly difficult to measure such things.
