I was turned off of Laravel from a bad experience of the very reason you're afraid of it. Back in 2017 I was hired to take over a large Laravel 4.2 project, which included upgrading it to 5.0+ version. The upgrade was a very long, extr

I have an SEO based tool that's been limping along because I'm neither good at marketing nor interested in learning in order to scale it up. Its a customizable audit tool. If that sounds interesting to you, get in touch with me an

I used to travel 6-8 months out of the year, and I'd happily go to a restaurant alone over spending more time in my hotel room eating alone lol.

This is why I have never ordered UberEats. Plus cold McDonalds is gross. Its not hard to order takeout and run down the road myself. To be honest I don't really get why this whole trend is so popular.

I admit I still haven't really latched onto unit testing. I gave it an honest effort about a year ago, but the amount of time I was spending to mock out the inputs and then actually writing the test was absurd and I didn't feel pr

Refactoring is (as Uncle Bob puts it) an implementation detail. That means management doesn't understand its value, so they should not be expected to take ownership over it. As engineers we need to just do it, and build it into our tas
