I can't see IRC coming back as there's just slightly too much friction for the common person to get up and running. I could see websites coming back (I mean like the way people used to actually browse websites instead of social me

Geographical names are political, there's nothing objective about them. Calling them the British Isles implies some kind of ownership, but Ireland is not a British possession. There's lots of other groups where you could apply the

Actually, I think this one is better if it isn't perfectly secure. I make spreadsheets with passwords just so people won't go in there and accidentally delete something or make other silly mistakes. I'm not trying to hide any

There's only 2 options, either you train on the full mediocrity of Github, or you over-train on highly rated projects, effectively just copy/pasting those projects and riding roughshod over any licensing the authors think they hav

I never read the new yorker before so I don't know if it was better before, but the few articles I've read seem almost like satire. It's like they're not real people, or at least they've never had the problems real

The structure of the experiment seems to have been just a correlation between collaborative hours and some measure of happiness. I wonder if the causation doesn't run the other way to what they propose though. When I'm happy in wo
