Compilation doesn't necessarily need strict checks, it's really just translating source code into machine code. It happens to be the case that we mostly do both using the same tools because compilers need to have a good understand

Chrome is doing the exact same thing for the same reason. Dev builds are dynamically linked while release builds are statically linked. Works quite well, it's a great technique.

I think all your points are correct but none of them address scalability. What do you do if your one efficient machine is too small for your problem? To be fair, not a lot of problems reach that point in practice, definitely not every probl

What do you think is the probability of somebody random sitting in front of a TV right now being the person who bought it? I'd think it's fairly low. At some point of uncertainty, targeted advertising stops making sense and become

In spite of all the negativity, I'm super excited about the future of AR. - being able to see in extremely wide spectrum bands compared to human eyesight - being able to see in higher dynamic ranges than the human eye - being able to m

Of course not 100% of people would use it. That doesn't mean that it isn't a giant profitable market. Video conferencing has the additional problem that you can't be on camera while you're wearing a VR headset, so I thin
