Sell defined risk credit spreads 30-60 days out on underlyings with high implied volatility where the max loss is a small percentage of your bankroll. Buy them back at some percentage of max profit (50% is a good general rule). Read or watc

I wish more language textbooks were set up like classical language textbooks - I have Wheelock for Latin, Groton for Greek. Grammar and authentic texts. Both have companion volumes with more authentic texts.

I would have written inhouse plugins for Word - it's actually pretty easy and I don't want to be in the business of writing a word processor.

Interesting to see how this aged. By my reckoning: 1 (Single Founder) - people just ignore this one, more or less. 2 (Bad Location) - this one became a horrifying monster that devours everything it touches. 3 (Marginal Niche) - probably the

Org is a way better naturalistic markup format, with way better tooling, but it's hampered by being emacs-only and having weird devotees who like to sell it as some kind of task planning tool when really it's a naturalistic markup

SQLite is also extremely useful, but it fills a different niche. (One of SQLite's slogans is "SQLite does not compete with client/server databases. SQLite competes with fopen().")

We're told (correctly) by all YC's public communication that raising is a distraction and founders should focus on real work as much as possible. If what you say is the case, YC is either broken or lying, and they're not lyin

Algorithmic coding tasks and system design questions are the two types of things you get asked in SWE interviews. They just have practice interviews for both. It's not novel.
