Using the real-time clock makes your test impossible to reproduce. Using a mock clock leads to reproducible tests. Same with calls to PRNGs: these should be injected so your test failures can be reproduced.

This is often overlooked by people with superficial understanding of American geography. Ohio has the same population density as Spain, and a higher per-capita GSP, but none of Ohio’s cities enjoys rail service of any kind.

Normalization on a per-mile basis misses the point. You build dense, transit-oriented cities specifically to reduce that denominator. Moving a person one mile has no intrinsic value whatsoever.

IBM was locked in a brutal fight with HP and Dell to take share in the early x86 server market. Their chipsets were neat but they looked silly next to an HP Opteron box. Integrated memory control ended the chipset race. Still their chipsets

It's because you have your zone player(s) set to automatically update. I've ignored updates for months on end and never had the first trouble with doing so.

It used to be the case that your phone showed up as a source if you were using the Sonos app on that phone. You could play podcasts or any files that were stored on your device. Now you can't. They added AirPlay to newer hardware but

FWIW it seems that it is Apple, not Sonos, who killed off the ability to stream to Sonos directly from an iOS device.

They do not require you to install updates to play music. Updates are never mandatory, except that if you update a zone player then you must update the controller to control it. If your controller is ahead of the ZP that works fine.
