This problem should be solvable in software. The car can simply refuse to operate in a situation where maintenance is required.

I wonder what % of NYT app users do the daily crossword. I would imagine its a very significant percentage, which likely is why NYT is interested in acquiring and integrating a new word game into their app experience.

Youtube has a Patreon competitor service literally built into the platform, you can "Join" a channel and it behaves exactly like Patreon. They were just very late to the party and most creators promote their Patreon more heavily.

Keep in mind that Youtube premium is effectively a music platform as well, although you can make the same argument about Prime. Ultimately it depends on what content you consume, I spend a lot of hours on youtube and consider the advertisin

My team built an application using a multiple not so well thought out microservices, and it ended up creating a lot of unnecessary maintenance and complexity and has been a long term pain. I wish we had just built within a single service. B

My cyberghost vpn is under 3$/mo and has unlimited usage. It's hard to imagine any pay-as-you-go scheme coming even close from a cost perspective.

iMessage is indeed way too powerful, but RCS is nowhere near as good. Even basic things like fast high quality photo/video sharing, reactions, and apps like in-chat games. I suspect Apple will eventually support RCS as a strong improve

This seems like a pretty poor implementation on Apple's app store's handling of out of date app installation. I believe there is a workaround where you can use an online version of the app store to first trigger an app download to

I don't know that it's surprising or disappointing that Google was exploring PR related to their recent employee activism scandals. It would seem pretty incompetent for them to just ignore the problem and hope it goes away. As you

From what I can tell, a "bad relationship" with employer particularly in competitive tech fields is a direct result of poor performance by the employee, which actually seems reasonable. I don't think it makes sense to introdu

While disappointing, this is not exactly a surprise. California's approach to regulation, in general, is onerous and creates substantial headwind to development or change. This is not a statement about the legitimacy of the underlying

I will say its hard to beat the torrent pipeline. Quality VPNs are dirt cheap, and with a solid connection, you can sequentially download and start watching almost immediately, essentially just like streaming.

This is the clear result of an overbearingly powerful entrenched union allowing absurd inefficiency. Tough to imagine a legal recourse. Ideally you allow local ports to outlaw the unions, but that would be a legal nightmare and be extraordi
