I've read something like 5 or 6 HN threads about a dumb TV, and without fail _this_ is always one of the replies. Another benefit — advertising displays are also designed to be always-on and last much longer than consumer devices. The

This also happened to me in a rental. We drove it off the lot to our hotel a half-hour away before we discovered the remote was busted, with all of our possessions locked inside. I did know that there must be a physical key (unless Tesla?),

For self-hosted and federated community building, might I suggest NodeBB? v4 now fully federates, has always been self-hostable, and is a great piece of software for migrating from Facebook. Consider the "feed" plugin for a less j

My son's audiologist is (of course) quite bearish on this whole prospect. Her response was to ask who is going to do the audiogram programming for the airpods. I imagine this is probably something that could be automated away, though.

That's a little weird for a bag designed to hold biodegradable products... have you tried other brands? I buy mine from Costco and they easily last 2-3 days (the amount of time it usually takes for the pail inside my house to fill up).

It's a shame that NodeBB was not included in the list of forums tested. We worked really hard to optimize our forum load times, and it handedly beats the pants off of much we've tested against. But that's not much of a brag,
