I am not sure microservices are good for scalability in that sense. Microservices divide your application vertically, but for scalability you want to divide it horizontally. You don't want a separate service for each feature of your ap

I don't see how this contradicts what I said. A class struggle is about disrupting the existing structure, which is western society. Classical communism was also aimed at replacing the existing structure. There are people who don'

Why is cultural Marxism a conspiracy theory? It was my impression that Marxism just means class struggle in this context, and that cultural Marxism means class struggle on cultural issues rather than economic issues?

Buy this type of cherry tomato, they're nice and still relatively affordable: http://rooi.versuit.nl/media/catalog/product/cache/6/image/9... They won't beat summer sun grown tomatoes

The tomatoes themselves don't have a strong smell, though the vines do.

There are flavourful varieties such as Tasty Tom or small plum tomatoes, but they are much more expensive at €10 per kg versus €2 per kg for a basic variety and less than €1 per kg for the most tasteless variety.

The log(total) term increases without bound whereas the pos/tot term is at most 1, so in the limit of a lot of votes you will beat an item with fewer votes even if all your votes are downvotes. That there are two configurable parameter

GPUs are massively multicore and there we see the opposite of what this article predicts or hopes would happen: grids win even more over graphs. The best graph algorithms for those chips try to turn the graph problem into a grid problem as

That formula will give an item a higher score the more down votes it gets. A better approach is score = (pos + a) / (tot + b). Where a<b, e.g. a=1, b=2. See this post why that formula follows from Bayesian reasoning: http:/&#x

Most of ML is fitting models to data. To fit a model you minimise some error measure as a function of its real valued parameters, e.g. the weights of the connections in a neural network. The algorithms to do the minimisation are based on gr

Well, information theory isn't much more than the logarithm of probability theory, so it doesn't hurt to learn it anyway. The only thing you need to know is that given a probability distribution P there exist a compression scheme

Why do you need partial differential equations? I don't think you necessarily need any knowledge of differential equations to do ML, though the top ML people certainly would know it because of their general math education.

This is a nice technique in theory, but in practice it isn't so fast, mainly because of the implementation details. Radix sort is actually faster than comparison sorts if implemented well.

I didn't truly understand regular expressions until I saw how they are executed. There are simple algorithms for executing them, so that might not be such a bad way to teach.
