What's the fraud if people like it? You are entering into the hundreds year old "what is art" debate.

My conspiracy theory is that the weather is so depressing that you stay inside and make music. Maybe this also explains UK success in music :)

And one day you'll unplug it and complain "why is the battery at 80%? It was plugged in all day. Stupid manufacturer. I will tell everyone to avoid this piece of shit" The least losing move for the manufacturer is to always c

That's a slippery slope. Should a professional programmer have to pay wikipedia if they read about an algorithm on it and then implement it and get paid for it?

Because you can't really die from it? I know you can actually die, but for those situations it will be handled by the emergency room. Not saying I agree with the policy.

QM is quite simple. But then we also have QFT. The difficult things you were talking about fall more on the QFT side of things. In my view QM predicts QC will work just like math predicts Turing machines will work. But the practical realiz

Sure, but parent was saying what if we manage to build QC as we envision them and then they don't work.

QM says QC as we envision them will work. QM says a quantum entangled state will remain like that until disturbed/measured. If there is some limit as you suggest, that means QM is at least partially broken.

QM predicts that QCs will work. If QCs don't work, QM has a big problem. Wave collapse interpretation is an orthogonal topic.

> First, do we even have high confidence that QC is the thing that will break current algorithms? If it doesn't it means our physics theories are fundamentally wrong.

For your use case you might want to look at RocksDB. It supports zstandard compression, random access, and it's very robust.
