Actually the 4S is much faster at a fix than the 4 because it has more satellites to look at (GLONASS). More satellites means a faster, more accurate location fix.

Anyone who has been around a university physics lab will easily recognize linen (as well as paper) phenolics which are typically used as insulators and occasionally for mechanical parts. They used to be pretty popular for gaskets as well. I

One very practical application of this would be for communications to Mars. You could be constantly transmitting a "deferred" signal, only to alter the quantum states when you are ready. We still have a long way to go for ~20 minute quantum

Of note... Verizon could theoretically still charge a tethering fee so long as no data was routed through the 700Mhz spectrum.

The most important reason why this is a no-brainer is because of the 700Mhz spectrum auction. The open device restriction (or lack of restrictions really) was a key provision that google pushed for. I'm sure some people are going to say the

More important than the cost is the restrictions state and local governments have. Big ISPs have the right to lay down cable, it's nearly impossible for anyone except a huge ISP/Utility to get those rights.

You can't get a room share in most of SF for under $700, for SOMA and the Mission you'll be lucky at $850. A studio you might be able to get for $1200-$1500, 1BR $1400-1800, 2BR $2000-$$$$$. This is assuming you don't want to live in Bayvi
