Deluge for a server/client model with optional web interface, if you for example want to command your Raspberry Pi to add som torrents. But for a more traditional one I prefer qBittorrent after Ludde abandoned uTorrent.

I’m still waiting to experience the issues snaps are even trying to solve. It’s like having a worse experience for reasons I myself don’t even see. My issues with snaps are part the ugly and clearly “non-native” startup time, and part that

I think it’s a stretch to call Apple’s solution opt-in. It is answering to a Yes/No question where your reply to allow tracking is no more obnoxious than to prevent it.

Was just about to say this. My equity funds are back to ≈85% before pandemic on average. One of them is better than before it. And that is coming from a very highly valued market due for a correction for years.

I do use 7-zip myself, but WinRAR has still a more feature rich user interface out of the box than 7-zip and while 7-zip has better compression in general, compression isn't everything when they're this close to each other, like a

So the only realistic alternative is Android and that one is funded by an advertising company eager to sell your habits at every opportunity.

Same on Windows regarding data loss. Terrible and I’ll never use their ext2 drivers again.

Good point. User safety is Apple’s argument for their fees, and one made quite recently too.

As a Lightroom alternative, Darktable has quickly become a good replacement for me. I used to be a non-believer but turns out I just wasn’t used to it enough. It now has a healing brush at least as good (probably better^) as Lightroom, adva

Imagine the scientific gains by observing a nearby supernova event “live” (you know what I mean). I heard most likely is that it would become either a neutron star/ pulsar or black hole depending on retained material in the innermost r

Yes, I’ve noticed this too! I think the generation growing up with these systems have grown up into the forties and long for seeing them come alive again. A generational thing. MiSTer, FPGAArcade, Vampire accelerators and even AmigaOS 3.1.4

I think these users just want a physical product that looks and feels like an actual next generation ZX Spectrum. Part of a fulfilling a feeling of “what if”.

One interesting paper showed phones can affect you psychologically even if it was just lying there in the same room. You need to physically be in a different room or place for the mental state to change. I think the brain learns how it’s in

With there being so few with that power, I fully expect them to have a special relationship with the admins themselves. From this, it follows that the admins might be very influential if they wish, using these few mods as proxies if the act

A guy on reddit claiming to be ex-Intel thinks it looks like material shared with OEM’s and thus a breach of something like a motherboard manufacturer rather than Intel.

The interesting bit about this to me, if this is happening in our immediate neighborhood, is if it’s an indication that it’s actually a commonplace phenomenon and further - an explanation of our missing matter to bind galaxies. A primordial

Yeah, Sweden has a remarkably high death rate due to very old populations like 80+ or 85+. I mean, really high, it's been pretty terrible. So would probably be quite different and more "normal" numbers if it hadn't hit o
